Issue:

On SolarWinds installations that have been upgraded from Orion NPM version 10.0, the following error, or similar, may occur when opening a Node List resource in the Orion Web Console:

Resolution:

This error is caused by the presence of a single .dll file (SolarWinds.NPM.Common.dll) in the root Orion NPM installation folder of SolarWinds installations that have been upgraded directly from Orion NPM version 10.0 to version 10.2.
Note: The default root Orion NPM installation folder is C:\Program Files\SolarWinds\Orion.

To resolve this issue, complete the following procedure:

1. Using an account with administrative privileges, log on to the server on which you have installed Orion NPM.
2. Click Start > All Programs > SolarWinds Orion > Advanced Features > Orion Service Manager.
3. Click Shutdown Everything.
   Note: Do not close Orion Service Manager at this time.
4. Navigate to the folder containing SolarWinds.NPM.Common.dll.
   Note: By default, this folder is C:\Program Files\SolarWinds\Orion.
5. Delete SolarWinds.NPM.Common.dll.
6. In the Orion Service Manager window, click Start Everything.
