ISSUE: Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) security update #158 released 04 October, 2011 contains an update that blocks the execution of SNMP GetBulk operations. SolarWinds products rely heavily on the ability to retrieve SNMP data using GetBulk. This update has been reported to impact ICMP as well.WORKAROUND: Some customers have reported being able to setup an exclustion policy for SNMP and ICMP in SEP as a work around. SOLUTION: We are awaiting a fix from Symantec.
