Performance Slow on VMs

Explanation:

Since CatTools waits for all physical CPUs to become free before processing, if you have more than 1 vCPU on a VM, you may notice a slowing down of CatTools operations.

vCPU's each map onto what VMware calls a hardware execution context. VMware treats each logical core in a multi-core physical CPU as a hardware execution context rather than the physical CPU\socket. Multi-vCPU systems have to be able to schedule all of their hardware execution contexts (cpus) concurrently on the same host. If you do not have enough contexts free at runtime, contexts have to be swapped in and out, causing performance degradation.
