Some Devices Are Not Backed-up in Scheduled Job

Explanation:

By default the available threads for performing backup is set to the maximum. Depending on the resources on your system, or your firewell settings, using maximum threads can lead to timeouts for some backup operations; this appears in results as some random set of devices failing to be backed-up.

If you are running KiwiCatTools on/against VMs, consult this KB article for additonal information:

Resolution:

If you encounter the descirbed behavior (random devices failing to be backed-up in a scheduled back-up), you can confirm that the issue is related to threads by manually backing-up one of the devices whose back-up failed.

In general, to prevent failed back-ups, reduce the number of threads used in back-up operations.
