Export to PDF is not working.

In environments using self-signed certificates, the following error has occurred when attempting to use the Export to PDF function in the Orion Web Console:

There was an error trying to export the page to PDF. Please try again later.

Export to PDF failed. Err: The underlying connections was closed; could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel.

To correct this issue:

  1. If you are using Internet Explorer, confirm that third-party extensions are allowed, as follows:
    1. Click Tools > Internet Options > Advanced.
    2. Check Enable third-party browser extensions.
  2. Confirm that the server name provided when creating the issued certificate matches the actual name of the server to which the server is issued.
Note: Confirm that you are using the fully qualified domain name (FQDN), as in SolarWindsServerName.TopLevelDomain.local both as the URL to access the web console and as the domain to which the certificate is assigned. Additionally, you may want to add a CNAME entry for the server name and its FQDN.
  3. If the server name on the certificate does not match the actual server name, create a new certificate using the correct server name.
  4. Confirm that IIS is configured to accept any available IP addresses for web site identification, as follows:
    1. Click Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
    2. Click +, as necessary, to expand your server name (local computer) to see all existing web sites.
    3. If you are using Windows Server 2003, complete the following steps:
      1. Right-click your SolarWinds website, and then click Properties.
      2. On the Web Site tab, in the Web site identification grouping, confirm that (All Unassigned) is selected as the IP Address, and then click OK.
    4. If you are using Windows Server 2008, complete the following steps:
      1. Right-click your SolarWinds website, and then click Edit Bindings.
      2. Click https, and then click Edit.
      3. Confirm that All Unassigned is selected for the IP address, and then click OK.
