Interface tooltips showing utilization at higher than 100%, even when the Top XX Interface Utilization resource shows utilization at a maximum of 100%

Orion NPM is reporting the interface bandwidth as provided by the interface itself. To correct the polled interface bandwidth, edit the interface, as shown in the following procedure.

To edit an interface bandwidth:

  1. Click the interface name to open the corresponding Interface Details view.
  2. In the Interface Details resource, click Edit Interface in the Management section.
  3. Check Custom Bandwidth in the Bandwidth section.
  4. Provide correct values for Transmit Bandwidth and Receive Bandwidth.
  5. Click Submit.
